The Contemporary Austin is hiring a full-time Development Director to lead the museum’s fundraising initiatives, including the design and coordination of a capital campaign to develop the 14-acre lakeside Betty & Edward Marcus Sculpture Park. 

Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic and tactical direction for fundraising activities
• Help to design and lead upcoming capital campaign for Laguna Gloria Master Plan
• Identify, cultivate, and solicit individual, corporate, and foundation supporters
• Work closely with Executive Director, Trustees, and Development Committee to meet fundraising goals
• Create long-term development plans
• Oversee and foster growth of museum membership program
• Manage development staff in related activities, including general oversight of donor management database

Qualifications:
• 10+ years fundraising experience in art museum setting (contemporary or modern art strongly preferred)
• Successful capital campaign experience
• Experience overseeing membership program with demonstrated growth
• Astute judgment and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Donor management database experience, with understanding of best practices in accurate records and tracking
• Experience creating and monitoring department budget
• Knowledge and passion for contemporary art
• Eagerness to be active in Austin philanthropic community, including attending external engagements
