Director of Development

The Polk Museum of Art at Florida Southern College seeks a dynamic, experienced Director of Development to manage a strategic fundraising program to support the Museum’s exhibition, operations, and project needs.  The successful candidate will have strong experience in annual fund, major gifts, planned giving, corporate and individual sponsorships, grant writing and management, with a demonstrable ability to cultivate successful and long-term relationships within all constituencies.  The ability to synthesize information into articulate and compelling cases for support of priority programs, significant experience in the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors, and impeccable writing and editing skills are required, as well as a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and knowledge of fine arts and higher education.

The Polk Museum of Art at Florida Southern College is a private, non-profit, and nationally accredited art museum in Lakeland, Florida. It is a member of the Florida Association of Museums, is ranked among the top art museums in the state of Florida, and is a Smithsonian Affiliate.
