The Frist's Award-Winning ArtQuest

March 28, 2014

ArtQuest: Art Is All Around You is a series of short broadcast segments focusing on developing children’s creativity and fostering a love for the visual arts. Produced by Nashville Public Television in collaboration with educators from the Frist Center for the Visual Arts and titled after the Frist Center’s interactive learning gallery for children, the segments are geared toward viewers ages 7-9 and cover topics from architectural styles to public art to painting en plein air. The program piloted in 2012 and was renewed in 2013 after a successful first year, receiving more than three million gross impressions on air.

On January 25, ArtQuest was awarded an Emmy® for Children's Programming from the Midsouth Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Congratulations to the Frist and Nashville Public Television!

A selection of ArtQuest segments with accompanying activities are available on the Frist website.
