Joslyn Art Museum Announces Free Admission

May 2, 2013

The Joslyn Art Museum, Omaha, Nebraska, has announced that museum admission will be free to all beginning on May 25. "When we engage a diverse audience in viewing, thinking, and talking about art, we ensure that future generations are knowledgeable about the past, embrace multiple points of view, understand the complexity of the world we live in, and harness the force of creativity," said Joslyn Executive Director and CEO Jack Becker. "The path to these goals is accessibility; to never deny the opportunity to view original works of art in our collection to anyone because of an inability to pay." Becker also noted that offering free admission will return to the vision of the museum's founder, Sarah Joslyn, who founded the museum as a cultural resource for the entire community.

More on free admission at the Joslyn is available at the Museum's website and JournalStar.com.
