Executive Director
The Figge Art Museum seeks a dynamic and innovative Executive Director to lead the organization in its next phase of growth and success. Housed in a landmark David Chipperfield-designed building on the banks of the Mississippi, the Figge is an AAM accredited museum with a robust program of exhibitions, events and community outreach. The Figge has a dedicated professional staff, a committed board and corps of docents and volunteers, and is a leader in the cultural life of the Quad Cities region, home to over 400,000 residents in Iowa and Illinois.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of visual art and museum practice, proven skill in managing a nonprofit organization, and willingness to think creatively about the museum’s role as a catalyst for community engagement.
