Museums Visual Arts and Indemnity Director
Responsibilities
This position is located in the Visual Arts Division, Office of Programs & Partnerships, National Endowment for the Arts. You will:
-Serve as the agency's nationally recognized leader and authority for the nonprofit fields of Museums and Visual Arts, which includes administration of the Arts and Artifacts Indemnity Program.
-Serve as the Museums and Visual Arts fields' expert to advise senior staff about trends that may influence programming and funding opportunities.
-Serve as a member of the Division's management team.
-Provide professional leadership and authoritative consultation services on the development of guidelines, leadership initiatives, and the review of applications/proposals.
-Oversee the grant process from application, to grant, to final report.
-Represent the organization by attending and speaking at national and/or regional meetings and events of significance to the Museums or Visual Arts fields.
-Ensure the accomplishment of agency's objectives through combined supervisory, technical, and administrative direction of subordinates.
-Manage a team of staff members who assist with all tasks including reviewing applications, assembling panels, monitoring grantee performance, and processing grants, cooperative agreements, and leadership initiatives.
