The Board of Directors of Sloss Furnaces National Historical Landmark seeks a highly competent and motivated arts and culture leader to serve as Executive Director. The successful candidate will possess the education and experience necessary to ensure strategic and effective leadership.

Sloss is a 20th-century blast furnace now interpreted as a museum to the industrial history of Birmingham, Alabama.  Sloss maintains a robust metal arts program, where a group of resident artists demonstrate and propagate Birmingham’s iron-making history in classes, workshops, and conferences, while also producing their own artworks and fabricating commissioned works.
