Public Programs & Engagement Manager
The Public Programs & Engagement Manager is responsible for the development and production of creative public programs supporting the Pulitzer Arts Foundation’s exhibitions and mission, including talks, music events, performances, community and family programs, receptions, symposia, and hands-on or artist workshops. The Public Programs & Engagement Manager will work collaboratively with staff, artists, and partners to create and implement a dynamic and accessible public program plan that connects audiences with the museum and the art on view. A successful candidate will possess an excellent track record of producing successful projects, including planning, implementing and evaluating with an eye on contractual and budget requirements, and evaluation metrics for success and impact.

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks
The Pulitzer Arts Foundation offers a competitive salary in the range of $46,000 - $58,000 annually depending on experience. Position Responsibilities
● Research, develop, and manage public engagement programs and events—both in-person and online—in collaboration with staff, artists, partners, and vendors.
● Oversee production management of public and education programs, special events, artist projects, and receptions. Coordinate event logistics and planning, including but not limited to scheduling, contracts, travel, IT / technology, supplies, rentals, and onsite or virtual management.
● Work with colleagues to develop content and plans for community outreach, press coverage, web content, and other promotional and interpretive materials.
● Collaborate and build relationships with community and audiences, including connecting with potential audiences for events as well as collaborators for programs.
● General administrative work in support of public programs and engagement, including develop and maintain schedules and budgets.
● Supervise support staff as needed.

Preferred Experience and Background Skills
● 2+ years of proven experience developing and cultivating programs, community partnerships and/or live events.
● Excellent track record in leading successful programs
● Strong organizational and time management skills. Self-motivated and ability to work well independently and on a team in a fast-paced environment.
● Excellent communication (verbal and written) and public speaking skills, exceptional independent judgment, and problem-solving skills as well as strong attention to detail.
● Ability to think programmatically, strategically and relationally.
● Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
● Strict adherence to professional ethics.
● Valid driver’s license required.
